Provenance: Shot for Anna Wintour, Lee was inspired by Renoir's 'Parapluie'. He liked the graphic shapes of the umbrellas, and so he created a story within that structure. A lovers tiff, a moment caught in time, suggesting there is far more going on than what you see.
